today we had our final practical and i did the modified beef pasta for the exam. i had my pasta cooked just right, not too soft, and the pasta sauce added just enough compared to my testing one that was a little dry. the appearance of my dish also was more attractive with slices of celery and carrots added in. the dish was appetizing to most people and nutrition level is also quite balanced. i had managed to finish cooking the dish, washing up all the utencils used, and clearing up in time. i learnt that if the pasta is cooked too soft, it becomes very mashy and not appetizing at all. the pasta sauce added in must be just right, not too wet, not too dry. i also learnt that i have to balanced the dish with vegetables added in for nutritional needs. for safety wise, the control of the fire also must be just right for the cooking, and the oil must not be too much. i also learnt the time control in the cooking, in the preparation, in the clearing and wahsing up, so as to finish within the given time.

today we had to modify the dish that we made last to make it healthier. i made my pasta healthier by adding in carrots and salary and vegetables to make it healthier. the carrots, salary and the vegetables help to make the appearance of the dish look better also and make it colorful.

today was our 3rd practical for our second receipe original. it was a long time since i made pasta and i tried not to forget to do anything or to do anything wrongly. after cooking, the pasta tasted not too blend as it had sauce, but it was a little bit dry. so i would put in more water next week when doing the modified version so as to not make it so dry.

today was the second practical and we had to do the modified version of last week's original one. i modified it by replacing it with wholemeal bread so as to make it healthier. The modified one tasted better as it was wholemeal bread and it is healthier.

today we had home econs first practical and i made tuna sandwich, original. it was a long time since i had stepped into the kitchen since last year, so i tried to adjust and be familiar with it again. i was a bit nervous in case i forget some steps but in the end i managed to remember and do it and wash within the given time. i was relieve that i did not burnt the bread and lucky the bread was toasted and was not burnt or toasted too little.

pasta receipes
beef pasta - original
ingredients;
2 portions cooked pasta
50g minced beef
5 tbsp ( tablespoon ) pasta sauce
1 large onion
2 tsp ( teaspoon ) sugar

method;
1) boil water and cook the pasta.
2) slice the onion.
3) heat oil in frying pan.
4) add in onion and stir fry till soft and fragrant.
5) add in minced beef and stir fry till beef is cooked.
6) add in pasta sauce.
7) add in sugar.
9) add in cooked pasta and mix well.

ingredients;
2 portions cooked vegetable pasta( vegeroni ).
50g minced beef.
5 tbsp ( tablespoon ) pasta sauce.
1 large onion2 tsp ( teaspoon ) sugar.
5 cherry tomatoes.
some oregano herbs.
carrot and celery sticks( garnish ).

method;
1) boil water and cook the pasta.
2) slice the onion, carrot and celery.
3) heat oil in frying pan.
4) add in onion and stir fry till soft and fragrant.
5) add in minced beef and stir fry till beef is cooked.
6) add in pasta sauce.
7) add in sugar and oregano herbs.
8) add in cherry tomatoes.
9) add in cooked pasta and mix well.
10) garnish with carrot and celery sticks.

1) mix the tuna with mayo.
2) toast the white bread.
3) pread the tuna mixture on one white toast and top with the other.
